National Geographic photographer Robin Hammond has dedicated his career to documenting the human condition through long-term photographic projects. He’s covered stories ranging from how rape is used as a weapon in Bosnia and Congo to homophobia and transphobia around the world. He’s shot cover stories for National Geographic magazine, including the historic 2017 special issue on gender, as well as for Time. His newest project, In My World, focuses on those living with mental health issues. Robin has published three books and is the founder of Witness Change, a nonprofit that advances human rights through visual storytelling. He’s won two World Press Photo prizes, the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award, five Pictures of the Year International Awards, the W. Eugene Smith Award for Humanistic Photography, and five Amnesty Media Awards for Human Rights Journalism.
